You've made the record, Carol. Thank you for not calling me Amy again (at least during yesterday evening shift).  Carol is one of the line manager in Vanbrugh Cafe. She is a lovely, sweet, and funny lady. I love having the shifts when she is around. She is always miming dramatically behind somebody without a vicious thought, only for entertaining her colleagues. She is up for a laugh all the time.  By the way, the vanilla cake she recommends is truly a heavenly indulgence.

Just started my part time job life again two weeks ago. So far, I've met quite a few people, either young or old, British or international, student or staffs, lazy or hardworking. And of course, each single of them teaches me one very important lesson. Never presuppose or judge one's personalities by their appearance, always keep open-minded and be fair to a new concept or custom. It's pretty cliche, but time after time, people just forget about this axiom. Maybe human beings do have limitation, we are not saints  who never make mistakes, but the world could be in a better harmony if each of us be a bit nicer to the people around us. Don't just think about MYSELF, be in other people's shoes sometimes. Eventually, one will realise the world we see isn't exactly the same as another people's perception of the world. A pile of sand plus a pile of sand doesn't necessarily equal two piles of sand. The outcome might be a BIGGER pile of sand, or a castle built by sand, or uncountable solid round shape stuffs.

I love my life.
